Set in a pre-war building in Chelsea, the 23rd St. apartment's original solid oak doors, wood flooring, and beamed ceilings allowed us to anchor the new design in the building's rich past. RND created a palette that harmonized the space's natural resources with modern features like high-end kitchen appliances and contemporary lighting. A custom designed unit featuring pullout desks, innovative storage solutions, and a television concealed behind retractable doors maximizes space without sacrificing on aesthetic. Book-matched marble countertops and backsplash; handcrafted wood and leather furnishings; and a decor detailing that blends antique and modern elements give a personal finishing to the recreated space.
